"In 1992, Jones McClure Publishing was founded to publish user-friendly law books," so touts the publisher's web site (www.jonesmcclure.com/ aboutus.asp). Although its catalog appears to be expanding rapidly into various federal practice areas, the bulk of Jones McClure's publications continue to be practice guides aimed at Texas practitioners. This is the first time I have ever had a chance to examine one of its publications closely, but I daresay it will not be the last. For if O'Connor's Federal Rules: Civil Trials 2005 ("O'Connor's) and O'Connor's Federal Civil Forms 2005 ("O'Connor's Federal Civil Forms") are indicative of the quality of its publications, we are all apt to be hearing a lot more about this publisher...
