The European and American decorative arts discussed here, dating from the second half of the nineteenth century, encapsulate many of the themes and influences that can be identified as typical of the period. Principally housed in Southampton, New York, the collection represents works by many of the leading manufacturers and designers on both sides of the Atlantic.
