On Andruw Jones and the Braves: I'd say they're probably setting a record that will never be broken. To win 14 division titles in a row, I don't think anybody will ever surpass that. Andruw Jones does not surprise me with the year he is having. He is one of the great center fielders. I think Andruw has found his niche now. The one thing that helped him more than anything was when Chipper Jones got hurt. I think two or three other players went to him and said, "Hey, you're going to have to lead us." And he took it upon himself to do some things that he was never called upon to do.
On the American League MVP race: David Ortiz has had an MVP-type year. Of course, the people in New York would argue differently, but I think that between the two of them (Ortiz and Alex Rodriguez), you can't go wrong with either one. David Ortiz has come a long way, and he has shown that, if given the opportunity, he can be an MVP. I'm not surprised by the year he is having. He seems like he has all the confidence in the world in his ability. He walks up to the plate, and, whether he's hitting against a lefthander or a righthander, he seems like he is in command and he can get things done.
