On the Terrell Owens situation:
The problem with Terrell Owens and the Philadelphia Eagles is you have to treat it with the same respect you treat a marriage. Everybody on the outside isn't supposed to know what's going on inside. If you have a problem going on inside your house, you go to the head of that house.
The saddest thing in the world is that there are people who really appreciate the game of football. There are soldiers fighting in Iraq right now that love the game of football. They don't want to turn the TV on every day and listen to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Terrell Owens saga.
On the media's coverage of Owens and the Eagles:
We're covering the Philadelphia Eagles more than we're covering the New England Patriots, and they're the Super Bowl champions. I don't care what (the Eagles) do, them or T.O. That's their business. My business is here in Baltimore.
Cincinnati is getting better. Cleveland's got Romeo Crennel, and they're doing different things. Indy's changed up a couple of things. That's the stuff I want to know about because that's the stuff I've got to deal with. I don't care if (Owens) didn't come to camp until the first day of practice. Yes, it has to be reported. Yes, you have to let people know. Whatever. That's cool. But following his everyday activities like a soap opera? We might as well watch Guiding Light when we come home for a break.
