'Tim Duncan doesn't need to prove anything to me.'
On the notion that Duncan validated his career by winning a title without the Admiral:
ROBINSON: This team right now, with Manu Ginobili really coming into his own and becoming an international superstar--he's been phenomenal--and Tony Parker and just this whole group, has been more a validation of the whole franchise. I would hope in everybody's mind that Tim Duncan doesn't have to do anything to validate his career. You know how the world loves to raise that bar up higher and higher and make you jump a little bit higher. But Tim Duncan, in my mind, he's the man. He's one of the best players in NBA history.
'A lot of teams seem like they have no rhyme or reason to their rosters.'
On why the Spurs never seem to have any problem players:
ROBINSON: To Gregg Popovich's credit, he really has pursued character guys. You can't say that about a lot of teams. You can go out and find maybe one guy or two guys that are maybe a little bit off track, but if they get around guys like Tim and Manu, then they're going to shape up. They're going to be excited to be there.
'It's not good enough just to go out there and be a great player with good character.'
