I attended a Republican Party picnic in Austin County, Texas, this past weekend. A number of politicians, both national and local, were in attendance. The explanation offered for the Republican "yes" votes for CAFTA was based on "a necessity to not let Pelosi, Kennedy, and their gang prevail."
