"Disinformation Campaigns" (July 25, 2005, "Letters to the Editor") from Mr. Muhlenberg leaves the information somewhat incomplete. In his letter, he says that when the government is trying to cover up an incident, government agencies saturate the press with disinformation about the incident so that the general public will soon decide that they don't know what to believe, and they lose interest in the incident.
