Thomas Jefferson once said that the "price of freedom is eternal vigilance." That has never been more true than in the case of the freedom to home-school in the U.S. In the '80s and '90s, a battle was fought in the courtrooms and legislatures of this country, and by 1993, it was legal to home-school in all 50 states.
