Katherine Woodworth is a small, gray-haired woman, so she must have looked like an easy target for the purse snatcher. Confidently, the thief walked up to the 91-year-old Ohio woman in a Kmart parking lot and told her point-blank that he was going to take her purse.

"I didn't have my hearing aid in, and I thought he said that he was going to take my pulse," the spunky Woodworth told the Toledo Blade. "Then he said it again that he was going to take my purse and I said, 'No, you're not.'"

Woodworth gave the would-be robber more of her purse than he bargained for, swinging it wildly and hitting him. The cowardly man fled, escaping in his car, but not before another woman got a description of his car and license plate number.

In the meantime, the 20-year-old thief was arrested for another purse snatching at a Kroger food ...
