An unidentified Arkansas man was attacked by five young men in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, early on the morning of Sunday, April 3, and was forced to shoot one of his attackers, killing him.

The dead man, Kendell Moss of Racine, Wisconsin, and tour teenagers were joyriding in a family van looking for a place to eat when the van broke down. According to the April 5 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the group hailed a taxi and learned that it would cost $60 to get back to Racine.

Then, the young men ran to a nearby gas station where a 64-year-old Arkansas man had stopped to ask for directions. The youths began beating the Arkansas man to get money. The youths, of course, deny trying to rob the man--they say Moss merely got into a dispute with the beating victim--but an eyewitness says that all of the youths ran toward the Arkansas man's vehicle, and one of the ...
