A woman from Clinton, Louisiana, who was awakened by the sound of her dogs barking before dawn on the morning of Wednesday, March 9, retrieved a gun and shot an intruder who was in her house.
Upon waking that morning, Georgia Sullivan, the homeowner, saw something moving in her kitchen, and a masked man lunged at her. She fired at him, and the bullet struck him, but he continued to assault her, beating her about the face and body.
