Mar. 8--Right-hander sizzles through encouraging outing against Oakland

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- The Rangers shuffled the pitching schedule to allow Edison Volquez a chance to start against Oakland and make a case to be included in the competition for the fifth starter's job.
Volquez grasped the opportunity Wednesday.
