Mar. 9--It's been heralded as a "gateway to Lake Highlands," a proposed 450,000-square-foot retail and residential development at the intersection of Northwest Highway and Skillman Street.
But from Nicole Piazza's vantage point -- a treetop apartment overlooking a swelling brook at the Timbercreek complex -- it's far more troublesome.
Hers is one of a thousand aging multifamily units that would be razed to make room for Trammell Crow Co.'s new project, which will come before the City Council for zoning approval next month.
