Mar. 7--WATERBURY, Conn. -- A Manhattan-based real estate company spent more than $12 million to purchase two commercial plazas in Waterbury over the past few weeks.

GNR Realty LLC, at 225 Broadway in Manhattan, acquired Mallview Plaza at 117 Sharon Road for $6 million in late January and Sunbeam Plaza at 2457 East Main St. for $6.5 million in late February, said Gerry Matthews of Matthews Commercial Properties, the commercial real estate agent who brokered both deals....
