MEXICO CITY _ Here's the message Felipe Calderon wants to send the United States: The rule of law will matter if he's elected president of Mexico on July 2. It's the key to making his country more secure. And it's the way Mexico can attract more investment dollars.
"I want to be a president who provides certainty and the rule of law in Mexico," he told journalists from The Dallas Morning News.
Calderon, nominee of the National Action Party (PAN), outlined his strategy for strengthening security and attracting investment dollars. A snapshot:
_He would professionalize the police force through better pay.
_He would link up police databases.
_And he would create jury trials so drug traffickers and other crooks don't walk...
