The Standing Committee of the 11th National Assembly, the current legislature in Vietnam, opened its 23rd session on Monday under the chairmanship of Chairman Nguyen Van An.
The session, which will run until October 16, is being held to make preparations for the 11th legislature's sixth session, scheduled to take place on October 25.
The committee will focus its discussions on the implementation of the socio-economic State budget tasks set for 2004. It will also decide upon State budget estimates and allocation, and the investment plan for 2005.
