Feb. 26--Cramped workers at Coral Gables City Hall might soon get some breathing room. After months of negotiations, City Manager David Brown will ask commissioners Tuesday to approve the purchase of the two-story, blue building next door to historic City Hall for $4.6 million.
The agreement, however, will call for city employees to share the space for eight to 10 years with the three doctors who currently own the building, Brown said. Two other tenants have leases that expire in 2007. All would pay rent to the city, with annual increases guided by the consumer price index, Brown said....
