Feb. 27--University of Miami senior guard Tamara James would not allow her team to lose to Georgia Tech on Sunday. Not on senior day.
Not in her last home game in a Hurricanes uniform. And especially not when there's still a chance to go to the NCAA Tournament one last time. It took one of James' greatest performances in a four-year UM career full of them -- a season-high 37 points -- to lift the Hurricanes to a 90-85 victory in double-overtime at BankUnited Center.
