Tribunal Lashes Radio 5's DJ Cliff.

Loudmouth Radio 5 DJ Gareth Cliff is wading through hot water again, after making derogatory statements about mentally ill people and espousing "medieval views" about them.

A tribunal of the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa has upheld a complaint against the controversial disc jockey by a listener who took umbrage when he said on air that mentally ill people should be chained up in a padded cell and fed gruel.

Cliff made statements to this effect in a news broadcast during his programme on Radio 5 on June 22 at 4.30pm.
