Democrat Albert Ho has ``zero chance'' of becoming the president of the new Legislative Council, according to one of the people who nominated him for the post, Audrey Eu.

His opponent is Rita Fan, who has been the council's president for the past eight years.

But Eu said on Wednesday that Ho's nomination for the post should be seen in its proper context _ as an act that answers the call of the voters.

``More than 60 per cent of the voters in the Legco election supported candidates from the pro-democracy camp, so we should at least try to fight for the seat to repay their support,'' the …
