Section: General News - The Ministry of Agriculture yesterday ordered the Livestock Development Department to overturn 'every inch' of the country to inspect for the avian flu virus, warning that any poultry found to have died suspicious deaths would be destroyed immediately.

Agriculture Minister Somsak Thepsuthin, whose ministry has been ordered by Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to eliminate the avian flu virus within the next 30 days, said that he would inform livestock officials and provincial governors across the country of the ministry's plans.
