Four Canberra men are expected to face court charged with child- pornography offences after their homes were raided as part of the nation-wide police operation targeting child-sex crimes.

ACT Police officers raided the men's homes - in Banks, Amaroo, Fraser and Watson - earlier this week, seizing hundreds of images stored on computers, hard drives and CDs as well as pornographic magazines.

Summonses will be issued to the men - aged from their 30s to early 50s - after forensic examination of the seized items. They are likely to face court in a number of weeks.

The extent of the men's involvement in the child- pornography offences is not known, ...
