One-third of the world's population does not get enough vitamins and minerals. The consequences for public health and the economy are grave. The solutions are: fortified staple foods, vitamin and mineral supplements, and best of all, education.

The above findings stem from a report which has been presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, early this year.
