GIBSON: Well, dueling ads hit the airwaves, first by conservative groups saying we can't trust John Kerry to protect us from ruthless killers of al Qaeda. The Kerry campaign wasting no time coming out with a response, saying the president's supporters are playing into the terrorists' hands by using the attacks to divide us. The anti-Kerry ad is sponsored by the Progress for America Voter Fund. I'm joined by that group's national spokeswoman, Cheri Jacobus. So, Cheri, that was your ad that said that we can't trust John Kerry to protect us from Usama bin Laden?

CHERI JACOBUS, PROGRESS FOR AMERICA VOTER FUND: Well, what we do, John, if you look at the ad, is we ask the question, "Would you trust John Kerry to go up against these fanatics?" GIBSON: You're telling us an answer. You're not asking a question in the dark. JACOBUS: Well, no, we're not asking the question in the dark, certainly. But what we think and a lot of Americans think that this is the most important question facing us during this election cycle. And I can guarantee you that both campaigns probably have that as one of their key polling questions, "Who do you trust?"
