KUALA LUMPUR, Fri. - National Registration Department director-general Datuk Wan Ibrahim Wan Ahmad has directed all its offices nationwide not to fine those who are late in collecting their MyKad due to "glitches" on the part of the NRD.
He said the department would issue special receipts and notification letters to those who had turned up at the NRD to collect their identity cards within the stipulated 90 days but could not as they were not ready.
"This will be one of the ways we will be dealing with this problem," Wan Ibrahim said today.
