SABAH is in for a classical music treat when Ipoh-born Loo Bang Hean and Ng Chong Lim (right), from Kuala Lumpur, get together in Kota Kinabalu in a recital on Oct 2.

Loo was awarded a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music where he won numerous prizes as well as an invitation to appear in a Royal Gala Evening at St. James's Palace attended by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Back in Malaysia, Loo frequently appears in solo recitals, chamber concerts and concerto performances.

Apart from teaching privately he is also an adjunct music lecturer at University College Sedaya International …
