WHEN the bell rings at 6.35pm on school days, hundreds of pupils from three primary schools in Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur rush to their school buses, vans and cars waiting by the road.

But these pupils - from St Theresa's Chinese Primary School, St Theresa's Convent 1 and 2, and La Salle Primary School - risk their lives crossing the busy road and dodging the moving traffic to get to the waiting vehicles, which are often double parked.

Parents are worried as there is no traffic supervision at this time.
