The claim. Some markers won't dry out when an absent-minded person leaves the cap off. We bought three at Staples and put them to the test. The Colorific Retractable Marker ($4 for six) is supposed to write when left open for up to three days; the Bic Heavy Duty Permanent Marker ($4.20 for four) says it can last uncapped for two weeks; the RoseArt ColorView Liquid Ink Marker ($6 for eight) claims not to dry out, but explains how to revive it in water, nevertheless.
