GRAND Continental Kuantan certainly stands out. Painted in shades of brown, yellow and striking red, this hotel has become a landmark of sorts for visitors to Pahang's capital.
Situated in the heart of town between government complexes and the shopping district, the three-star hotel enjoys an average occupancy of 70 per cent, and packed on holidays and festive seasons.
"Many expatriates and families travelling here stay with us because we have another 35 service apartments. Guests can find all the comforts of home in the apartments," said the hotel's assistant director of sales, Yvonne So.
