SEVENTEEN-year-old Vidhya Pushpanathan is to perform her barathanatyam solo debut titled Illuminations at the City Hall Auditorium in Kuala Lumpur on Sept 25 and 26.
Vidhya's long-awaited arangetram, presented by Sutra Dance Theatre, is the culmination of many years of learning a particular dance's moves. It is a serious and intense affair, and requires elaborate preparations.
