WEDDING bells have been ringing for Cebuanos, some of them in nearby isles, others in faraway climes. One of the grandest was the marriage of Darren Deen and Rica King. She is the pretty and very enterprising daughter of Ricardo and Linda King; he is the son of prominent lawyer Danny and Zeny Deen.

The ceremony was held at the Sacred Heart Parish Church, beautifully decorated by Rosebud Sala. The reception was at the Grand Convention Center, transformed by Teresing Mendezona into a garden with towering trees dripping with white orchids.

Rica's gown drew oohs and aahs. It was a creation of Monique Lhuillier, who personally took the bride's measurements when she was in Cebu last Christmas. A magnificent buffet was served, and there was entertainment, too.

Best of all, Rica's uncles Mario, Luis and Robin King performed "The Way You Look Tonight." Dance music played until the crack of dawn.
