During SIGGRAPH 2004 in Los Angeles last month, Sharp Systems of America unveiled its first stand-alone display based on the company's TFT 3D LCD technology.
Well suited to several applications, including gaming, entertainment, education, and design, the Sharp LL-151-3D desktop display delivers 3D images to the naked eye. When paired with graphics cards that support OpenGL 3D displays with glasses, such as the Nvidia Quadro series, the Sharp LL-151-3D enables users to view 3D content, without the need for shutter glasses. And with the press of a button or using the device's USB-based automatic switching feature, users are able to toggle quickly and easily between 2D and 3D viewing modes.
