NEW DELHI: A cowered feeling and wounded psyche are all Bollywood's recent heart throb Amisha Patel had to wear on her face on Wednesday (September 8) in Mumbai when she spoke about how animals feel abandoned in damp and dark cells.

"George Washington, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi we had them all", said Amisha, "but animals don't, they need us. Animals in zoos are robbed of their most precious possessions -- dignity, freedom and independence."
