The chief executive of eBay Inc. said Thursday the online auction company will focus this year on integrating the acquisitions it made last year, rather than on buying up other companies.
Meg Whitman told reporters in Bombay, India's financial capital, that while the company would continue to look at acquisitions globally, it was unlikely to continue at the pace set in 2005, which saw eBay buy Internet phone company Skype Technologies, consumer review site Shopping.com Inc. and real estate company Rent.com.
