[Announcer] A natural gas bed has been discovered off the coast of Akcakoca. Saim Dinc, CEO of the Turkish Petroleum Corporation [TPAO], said that this is the first commercial natural gas discovery in the western Black Sea.

At the end of the drilling that started last July, commercial amounts of natural gas were uncovered in the first well. Exploring for oil and natural gas in Turkey's 12-mile territorial waters in the Black Sea, the TPAO, together with its foreign partner, discovered the natural gas which can meet the needs of the entire western Black Sea region.
