LAWAS, Thurs. - It will be a straight fight between two relatives from the Lun Bawang community - the Barisan Nasional's Nelson Balang Rining, 48, and lawyer Baru Bian - for the Ba'Kelalan State seat, the nominations for which were held here this morning.

The by-election is being held to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Dr Judson Sakai Tagal in a helicopter crash at Mount Murud, near Ba'Kelalan, on July 12.

Polling has been fixed for Sept 18.

When nominations opened at the community hall here at 9am, four aspirants, including Nelson and Baru, and two locals, Wilson Lio Apai and Frank Samuel Agong, …
