LAWAS, Thurs. - It will be a straight fight between two relatives from the Lun Bawang community - the Barisan Nasional's Nelson Balang Rining, 48, and lawyer Baru Bian - for the Ba'Kelalan State seat, the nominations for which were held here this morning.
The by-election is being held to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Dr Judson Sakai Tagal in a helicopter crash at Mount Murud, near Ba'Kelalan, on July 12.
Polling has been fixed for Sept 18.
