ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS Don't look for the club to make a lot of September call-ups. Young players such as 2B Scott Hairston, SS Jerry Gil, OF Luis Terrero and RHP Greg Aquino, who would have been promoted from the minors in the season's final month, already have been summoned because of injuries.... Aquino has impressed the staff with his poise and command. He has been able to throw his fastball and slider for strikes.... Trading Brent Mayne left the team without a veteran catcher to work with the club's young pitchers. The organization, though, is counting on Chris Snyder and Juan Brito to gain enough experience to be ready to lead in 2005. Manager Al Pedrique does not call ...
