Is B.J. Upton baseball's next big thing? The early returns certainly are encouraging. Before turning 20 on August 21, he became the first teenager to homer in a major league game since Aramis Ramirez in 1998. Plus, be batted .303 and slugged .474 in his first month in the majors.

Since 1901, only 51 other teens have played shortstop in the majors. The list includes four Hall of Famers: Travis Jackson, Robin Yount, Eddie Collins and Rogers Hornsby. The latter two played second base for the bulk of their careers, and Yount played about half of his games in the outfield.
