After months of speculation about the playing future of Southern California's Mike Williams, the NCAA last week ruled against reinstating the 20-year-old wide receiver, who was shut out of the NFL draft by an appeals court in May Williams caught a school-record 16 touchdown passes as a sophomore last season, helping the Trojans to a share of the national title.
