After months of speculation about the playing future of Southern California's Mike Williams, the NCAA last week ruled against reinstating the 20-year-old wide receiver, who was shut out of the NFL draft by an appeals court in May Williams caught a school-record 16 touchdown passes as a sophomore last season, helping the Trojans to a share of the national title. USC coach Pete Carroll discussed the effects of the NCAA's decision with host Petros Papadakis on Sporting News Radio station 1540 The Ticket, the home of the Trojans.
