LONDON (CBS.MW) -- Hurricane Frances, the second hurricane to hit Florida in a month, will cost insurers between $2 billion and $10 billion, according to the most recent estimates from the industry's leading catastrophe modeling firms.
Frances ploughed across southern and central Florida on Sunday, killing several people before turning north in the Gulf of Mexico and coming ashore for a second time in the Florida panhandle and moving into Georgia as a tropical storm.
