Coach Mike Mutebi will resort to a defensive gamble when the Cranes play Burkina Faso after dependable defender Ibrahim Sekajja ruled himself out of Saturday's crucial World qualifier.

Sekajja was expected to join the Cranes' in Nigeria before the team connects to Ouagadougou, but Fufa officials revealed yesterday the Argentine based defender had opted out.

Fufa Secretary Haruna Mawanda said: "We finally got hold of him and he said it's too late for him to connect." Mawanda said Sekajja spoke to Cranes' Committee chairman Hon. Mike Sebalu who rang him on Sunday.
