(From Reinsurance)

The Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are located in northeast Europe on the Baltic Sea, neighbouring Finland, Belarus and Russia. Former Communist countries, albeit 'soft' ones, the states joined the European Union (EU) in 2004. But that's enough of a geography lesson - what really makes these territories stand out is their explosive economic growth and excellent potential from an insurance point of view.

In the last 12 months year on year, each of the three nations' GDP per capita increased by the greatest margin among the EU nations, recording an average growth of almost 10%.
