Fundraising begins for two new endowments.(Amanda Vick Lethco and Lynn Freeman Olson)(Brief Article)
MTNA is initiating fundraising activities to establish two named endowments. MTNA wants to honor the memory of two giants in the world of piano pedagogy: Amanda Vick Lethco and Lynn Freeman Olson.
Members can't fail to recall Alfred Publishing's comprehensive and popular Basic Piano Library, which was the collaborative effort of Lethco, Willard Palmer and Morty Manus, while Lethco was at the helm of the pedagogy program at The University of Texas at Austin.
And, no one can forget Sam and Mary Jane, those fictitious--yet very real--students, who traveled with Lethco as she offered countless captivating and informative workshops, both nationally and internationally.
