Famed Hungarian-Austrian composer and pianist Jeno Takacs died November 14 at age 103. Born September 25, 1902, in Hungary (later Austria), Takacs worked in Egypt and the Philippines in the late 1920s and early 1930s, later returning to Europe. From 1952-1970 he was professor of piano and composition at what is now the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
