What a day! What can you say about a day in which the league leaders were humbled by fifth-placed Glendale, the closest challengers run close before coming from behind to go joint top, and second-from bottom Oval North recorded only their second win?
The weekend's results in the Mitchell's Plain senior schools soccer league saw Strandfontein join Westridge at the top of the log, behind only on goal difference, while Aloe overtook Cedar for third spot for the same reason.
l Cedar needed to win against Rocklands and hope that both Strandfontein and Westridge faltered to put them back in with a shout. They nearly got exactly that. In the end it was Rocklands who spoilt their party - taking the lead against Cedar in the second half.
