Finally the Gods are smiling on Ghana Airways. The much-awaited search for a strategic partner for this venerable state-owned airline came to fruition last week with the announcement that the Government of Ghana has reached an agreement with Ghana International Airlines (GIA) to take up to 30 percent shares in Ghana Airways.
The GIA is a US-based consortium led by a Utah-based firm called Sentry Financial Corporation, which also has links with the Sky West Airlines.
