NEWMONT EXECS SHOULD BE HELD IN INDONESIA: NGOS.
JAKARTA, Sept 1 Asia Pulse - Three non-governmental organizations have asked the government to prevent PT Newmont Minahasa Raya's president director and executives from leaving the country because they had to account for the pollution their company has caused in Buyat Bay in North Sulawesi.
The president director and executives of the gold mining company had to be prohibited to leave Indonesia and return to their home country because if they left it would be difficult to make them account for their corpoprate policies, Sukma Violeta from the Indonesian Center for Environmental Law said.
