SEOUL, Sept 1 Asia Pulse - South Korean stocks started lower Wednesday on weak economic data in the United States and tech woes.
In the first 15 minutes of trading, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) fell 0.55 point, or 0.07 percent, to 803.02, with the tech-heavy KOSDAQ index moving up 2.87 points, or 0.80 percent, to 358.53.
