SEOUL, Sept 1 Asia Pulse - The number of conglomerate affiliates banned from making mutual investments remained the same at 915 last month, the Fair Trade Commission said today.
Currently, 51 industrial groups with assets exceeding 2 trillion won (US$1.7 billion) are banned from facilitating mutual investments among their affiliates as well as providing debt guarantees for these affiliates.
The antitrust regulator said four companies, including Namdong Broadcasting and Gangseo Broadcasting, were added to the list, but as many were dropped last month.
