STATOIL'S new chief executive Helge Lund has immediately got down to business, putting in place one of the company's largest ever management shake-ups.
Mr Lund, who was poached from Aker Kvaerner, has changed almost every post to bring new blood to the executive board and prevent scandals such as the recent cash-to-Iran affair, which resulted in a flush of management retirements this year.
'The new corporate executive committee will collectively ensure a complete perspective in Statoil's future development,' said Mr Lund.
Terje Overvik has moved from head of technology into the prime post of executive vice-president for E'P Norway. He is replacing Henrik Carlsen, who is head of the company's Barents Sea operations.
